Getting closer to Mother Nature
Secret Garden also runs a forest school. It’s a type of outdoor education, where children learn personal and social skills by exploring forests and woodland together. It’s fair to say little ones love it – and it reinforces the link between an active lifestyle and a healthy lifestyle.

Adventures include bug hunting, mud painting, stick collecting, dam-building, mudslides and shelter-making. During all the excitement kids learn valuable life skills such as communication, teamwork and responsibility – almost without noticing.
It’s a great way for kids to find out what makes the great outdoors so great in the first place. Oh, and the hot chocolates and biscuits always go down a treat!
